Nautilus - League of Legends

One of my favorite assignments in VFS, to make the sound design for a fragment of the Nautilus character of The League of Legends franchise. The assignment consisted of recording original sounds for the “Armor, Impacts, Footsteps and Robot Mechanics” banks, the rest like BGS, DX, abstract sound design, sweeteners, etc, could be done with pre-recorded sounds from Soundly. From kicking bathtubs, metal crap, wheelchair, tossing metal plates onto other metal material to scratching the same metal with a spatula, a spike, a pickaxe, etc. After the recording process, time for the editing process came and oh boy it was fun. I learned how to make a simple recording sound big, powerful, with character and more body on it. Also this process was part of the “layering” technique we were taught a few days earlier. Off topic, I think one of my favorite sounds was my custom rasengan sound, I used Toilet Flush sounds.
